We have recently been retained by a major Tier 1 contractor specialising within the infrastructure sector in Australia to secure an ambitious and talented civil engineer and work on high-profile projects. The client has been successful in securing ongoing projects in excess of $1 billion with an attractive pipeline of work for the forthcoming years.

This encouragement for innovation specifically within Australia has transitioned overseas where new approaches have been adopted globally. With a proven track record across a range of projects including major highways and road construction, airports, railways, tunnelling, water & waste water in addition to commercial building construction.
As Site/Project Engineer, you will be assigned on a current critical project in South East Queensland for the initial 12 months before ideally moving on to their next project in Northern NSW. If you are only interested an opportunity for the next 12 months in Queensland then that will also be considered although the preference is to recruit permanently for a long term career with the business.

The key skills, experience and responsibilities are as follows;
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar degree
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience working as a site/project engineer
- You will be proactively maintaining an understanding of project management plans and associated variations to the scope of works
- Plan, coordinate and support works, equipment and personnel as required
- Support senior project engineers and teams with relevant aspects of the project delivery phases
- Assisting the project team in organising relevant approvals and permits as required
- Prior experience on civil infrastructure projects of any value considered
- Posses an excellent ability to work positively with both internal and external stakeholders
- A strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication skills
